kannamma's poem to krishna

kannamma wrote a poem to me
"oh my krishna!
where have you been so long?
why din you come to me
when I needed you?
now look
you have come
but i'm not fully for you
you are not fully for me too
but
this extreme love kills me
every second
and you laugh
all the time
at least
can't you hug me
around the shoulder and say
in my ears 'i'm with you' ?
your distant smiles stimulate
the girl in me
but her fetters
are so strong to break
and her anchor is
deeply stuck in
higher dimensions
here she is
wanting to hold
the reachable hands
and weep to the core
on those warm palms
why this play?
and what's gonna come next?
i'm suffering
because of you
but
i love you than
anyone on earth
be with me till i die..."

is this just a stole of cloth?
nope..I don't think so..
woven of love and care
these mighty hands
of cold night
try to pierce through
and reach my heart..
pity them
they don't know that
this is not just a shawl
but she herself
and the heart
is no more available
oh my kannamma!
what have I done to you?

kannamma 5

after a long time
my root has become alive
my thoughts have become green
my poems started flowering
my face exhibits
more smileys
my white beauty has
got a doll to play with
my mind is active all the time
so is my soul
jumping with energy
it's been so long since
we departed in your last birth
oh my kannamma!
why have you come
into my life?
what would I do
to keep you tight with me?
you know ..
life is beautiful because
you are with me!!

kannamma 4

my fairy came to me
and shared
the mysteries of unopened doors
gave her hands and wings to me
made me fly
there I go
dancing among the daffodils
quenching my thirst
with dew drops
howling exhausting phonics
know what?
my fairy keeps on
leaving me midway
i'm falling
falling nowhere
from a faraway land
I hear somebody singing
'nice to talk to you!'

kannamma 3

here I am
enjoying masterpieces but
two compartment away
so many legs shivering to sit..
throats dry without water
eyes heavy with sleep
empty stomach staring at
a baby's biscuits
oh my kannamma!
why is this train so long
and divided?
my mind is not
sticking to the track..
my journey will end safe..
who would assure
their next breakfast?
tell me..

kannamma 2

these bars of iron
in the window
of this singing train
melt down in gloom...
how could they realize
that i'm too melting inside
and I don't know why
my hands don't leave them
is it the same window through which
she waved her final bye?
and took my soul with her
leaving my skeleton all alone
and alone for ever....

kannamma 1

the world's best coffee
seems tasteless
when you are in front of me,
but I know your eyes
are filled with coffine
for my heart!
though my mind
longs for peace,
your fragrance makes me
restless- see
you made me
type a poem
in the pedestrian cross...
